Cedar Crest College will hold its annual event for National Girls & Women in Sports Day on Wednesday, February 6 during the 7:00 PM basketball game against Cairn University.
We will have players and coaches from various teams running games and activities for the girls during timeouts and halftime. All participants will receive free admittance to the game and have the opportunity to watch the game with Falcon athletes. They will participate in special halftime activities, receive official Falcons swag and an official National Girls and Women in Sports Day Certificate, and will have the opportunity for post-game autographs with our Falcon basketball athletes!
This event is one of more than 500 events taking place across the country for National Girls & Women in Sports Day. Congress has proclaimed this national day each year since 1987. The Day is devoted to recognizing the progress of girls and women in sports, and the benefits that sports and fitness activities can bring to the lives of all girls and women. The Day is organized nationally by the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Coalition; to learn more, visit www.NGWSD.org.
