The PASC U15 girls team battled some quality teams at the 2018 HMMS Players Cup tournament over Memorial Day Weekend. After losing their first game 7-1 to a very strong North Union team (who outscored their opponents 24-1), the girls responded with three resounding wins against HMMS 6-0 (the host team), PA Classics 5-2 (a rematch of their state cup game) and finally against US FC Inferno 4-3.
The final match against US FC Inferno was a game for the ages. After the Lady Red Devils took a 2-0 lead within the first few minutes of the game, US FC Inferno responded with three straight goals to take the lead 3-2 early in the second half. But our Lady Red Devils battled back and scored the tying goal with just under three minutes left in the game. However, the girls were not satisfied with a tie and proceeded to put another one in the net just a minute later to secure the second place finish.
PASC U11 Strykers played unbelievably well at the Quakertown 3 v 3 this past weekend. The combined record for the two teams was an outstanding 10-1-1. One team made it to the quarterfinals and the other team won the tournament which included a total of 29 teams! Two games went into overtime - which is a crazy 2 v 2 game. All the girls scored and played hard the entire day.
Congrats and well done, girls!
