PASC in partnership with Charlton Athletic FC

The partnership will see the Charlton Athletic North American Academy hosting a series of Elite Player ID events with PASC.  Charlton Athletic FC will send Academy staff members over to work with PASC players and coaches at these events. The best male and female players at these events will be invited to attend the Charlton Athletic Elite Player Experience in London, England.

Greg Coffield, President of Parkland Area Soccer club, said “this is a tremendous opportunity for our coaches and players to learn and gauge where we are as individuals, teams and as a Club.  I’m excited for our players to show Charlton Athletic FC what we have to offer and continuing to foster opportunities through GIS’s help!"

Registration will be open until Feb 28, 2015.

Registration Notice

Parkland Area Soccer Club is excited to announce that In-House and Recreational program registration is now open! One change you should immediately notice upon registering your child(ren) is that the club will now be providing socks and shorts to all players U7 and up. We elected to provide these as part of the uniform to install a greater sense of team unity and to continue to be recognized as an organized club by those teams we play throughout the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League as well as during tournaments. All players are expected to wear their red socks and black shorts during game play.

As in years past the club will continue to allow coach or buddy requests, however, we’d like to provide the following clarity to you below of those practices. Please do not hesitate to reach out to the club should you have any questions or issues related to our position on these points.

Thank you for once again choosing the PASC for your child(ren). We appreciate your commitment to us and will always try and provide that same level of commitment back to you whenever possible.

Playing Up

The policy of PASC states: “In-House or Recreational players with August or September birthdays have the option of ’playing up’ an age group to remain with players in their school grade if spots are available.” Please note that players will be placed in the age group that corresponds to the player’s appropriate date of birth. Players wishing to play up will only be allowed to play up if a vacancy exists at the higher age group and it will not cause a roster strain at their age appropriate level. Please note that each season will be evaluated independently regardless of where a player played in previous seasons. For an age group reference chart by date of birth, please visit EPYSA.

Coach and Player Requests

Every season we try our best to honor coach and player requests. Our club registers and places over 600 players each season in our Inhouse and Recreational programs and receive approximately 300 plus requests each season. As you can see from the numbers, it is difficult to grant all of these requests. We do try to honor as many requests as possible however roster sizes, number of volunteer coaches, and other factors can make this very difficult. We ask that if you do have a request, please limit to one player and/or one coach. It is often difficult to honor a player's request to play with 4 other players and a specific coach.

The mission of the Parkland Area Soccer Club (PASC) is to improve ALL soccer players by providing a positive learning environment, including an age and skill appropriate training curriculum administered by highly trained coaches who develop players in the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.

River Soccer Club Tournament

In our 8th year of participation, a record thirteen Parkland Area Soccer Club teams travelled to Ocean City, MD to compete in the 12th Annual RSC Columbus Day Classic.  PASC crowned three champions and one finalist at this year’s event.  PASC teams performed well over the entire weekend against a very competitive tournament field that included teams from Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Again this year, PASC held a Saturday night team party.  Players and families gathered pool-side at the hotel for dinner and good times.  The high-light of the evening for everyone was the video presentation session that include videos prepared by each team.  The tournament a weekend of Fun with Friends, Family and Great Soccer!

Richie Marquez from the Philadelphia Union will be visiting with us during our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration

Richie Marquez from the Philadelphia Union will be visiting with us during our 10-Year Anniversary Celebration at Wehr's Dam Community on Sunday afternoon.

Marquez is just finishing off his rookie MLS season as a member of the Philadelphia Union. Much of the year has been spent with Union partner club Harrisburg City Islanders where Marquez was a key contributor to the team's very successful year that saw them knock out regular season champs Orlando City SC on the way to the USL PRO National Championship game where they unfortunately fell just short vs. the Sacramento Republic SC.

Come on out on Sunday afternoon, ask Richie some questions, get his autograph and perhaps snap some selfies with him!

Coaches Game and PASC-Day at Red Robin

Our annual fall coaches game will be held next Saturday, November, 15. Kickoff will be at 6:30 under the lights at Lehigh County Fields with a post game get together at Red Robin! Please come out and cheer on your coaches!

Come out and support PASC before or after the coaches game and don't forget to bring this flyer with you!

River Soccer Tournament

PASC will be attending the River Soccer Tournament over Columbus Day Weekend for the 8th consecutive year! Two of our founding members and past president, Jim Fell and Paul Moyer, took their respective teams down to DE back in 2006. The original purpose was to let this tournament be a team bonding experience. Let the boys and girls grow as friends and teammates. It has since grown into a club event, where the parents are included!! This year, PASC will have 13 teams at the event!! There is always a pizza party by the pool on Saturday. During Saturday night, each team gets a chance to present a 3-5 minute video about their teams. There have been some very creative mini-films and videos shown!! The Duff family always lead the way in that department. I can't wait to see this years creations.
Hope to see you down there this year. Good luck to all of the teams participating. We hope to share some of the pics when we all come back. Check our facebook page and this website.
